Custodial history
In 1982, Roger got his first 3-wheeler, a Honda 110, and he started doing wheelies immediately. From 1983 to 1985, he raced the 3-wheeler, placing second several times, and in 84 at St. Paul Snow Cross, he placed 1st.
As a kid would often look through the Guinness Book of World Records with amazement and remark how most of the records were set by people living in big cities. You never think, as a small kid from New Brunswick, that you are going to be able to set a world record.
In 1986 he was sponsored by Toys For Big Boys and started doing wheelie shows at the Moncton Coliseum truck pulls and Halifax Metro Centre. In 1987, he did a dozen shows in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with Truck Pulls and Monster Trucks.
He was hired in 1988 with the Superfoot Monster truck show, from April to August, doing over 50 shows from Halifax to Vancouver Island. In 1989-90, he did several shows in New Brunswick with his XR350 motorcycle. In 1998-99 he made 15-20 appearances in the Maritime Provinces, Quebec and Ontario with the Monster Spectacular Monster Truck shows.
His first Guinness Record was in 2004, doing a wheelie on a stock Honda 350 quad with 16 people on the bike for 200 feet. This performance was at River Glade Speedway. This record was featured in the 2006 Guinness Book of Records, along with a photo.
2011 saw 2 more Guinness records, one for the longest wheelie with 2 people and a second for the longest wheelie with 3 people at River Glade Speedway. In 2013, he got the Guinness Record for the longest wheelie with 2 people on the bike, wheeled for 17,000 feet, and performed at the Saint John Horse Track. In 2014, he received the Guinness Record for the longest Wheelie on a side-by-side for 3700 feet. This was performed at the Greater Moncton Airport air show and was featured in the book in 2017.
In 2015, he set a new world record for the longest wheelie on a stock Honda 250 by himself, 11.8km on its hind wheels. It was performed in Port Elgin, NB. 2017 was his last 2 Guinness Records, Longest Wheelie on a Side-by-side for over 4000 Feet and Longest Wheelie on a quad bike in reverse; he wheeled for over 5000 feet.
2019, he performed his last stunt show with the Monster Spectacular at the Moncton Coliseum. Then, in 2021, he was inducted into the Memramcook Wall Of Fame.
