This fonds consists of photocopies and transcriptions of two journals kept by Joseph Robinau de Villebon between 1691-1693. He records his activities as Governor of Acadia, including the construction of Fort Nachouac (possibly Fort Nashwaak), the fur trade, mining in Acadia, and dealings with aboriginal peoples, notably, the Micmac and Iroquois. Much of his journal is devoted to reflections on the planning and execution of raids on settlement in the British-held territories of New England.
