Biographical history

A barrister, Henry Barlow Brown practised law in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. Having loyalist sentiments, he arrived in 1776, taking refuge from the war in the American colonies. Henry Brown and his wife Rebecca Appleton had one son, Thomas.

Henry was registrar of deeds for Charlotte County. He also did clerical work for Joseph Garnett, a lawyer and clerk of the peace. After Joseph Garnett's death in 1800, Henry B.
