The Dakin family were successful in fish processing and curing in Grand Harbour, on Grand Manan Island. Grant Lyman Dakin was born 3 Dec 1876 to Abram Milfred Dakin and Caroline Young Dakin. He married 25 Dec 1901 to Laura May Cheney . Their daughter, Julia Merle Dakin b.4 Aug 1908 married Joseph Burton Robinson on 2 Sept 1930. Their son Blair Robinson born 3 Jan 1933.

Alexis Phillips and John Edwards purchased the house at 99 Route 776 in North Head, Grand Manan. In clearing out the house these papers were discovered in the only closet in the house in 2008 and donated in 2012. The house previously belonged to Joseph B. (Joe Boy) and Julia Robinson and then their son Blair Robinson.

B. Robinson Cured Fish Dealer ; Medical Insurance contract and receipt for J. B. Robinson ; receipts for Blair Robinson shares in Pat`s Cove Weir.
