History
L. Keith Ingersoll and Elmer Wilcox were responsible for creating a collection of natural historical materials (which they began to assemble around 1962), and were largely responsible for the creation of the Grand Manan Museum in 1967. Keith became a well-known historian, newspaperman, author, museologist, teacher, and friend of many. Additionally, he served on the Museum Board and worked on museum displays. After leaving Grand Manan, Keith worked for the New Brunswick Museum in Saint John.
