Biographical history

William Maxwell Connell was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, in 1841. He was the son of Charles Connell and Ann Fisher, and the grandson of Charles Connell senior, a Loyalist who arrived in New Brunswick in 1788. William M. Connell was an attorney and businessman in Woodstock from the early 1870s through to the early 1900s. He married Henrietta Louise Garden (1842-1919) and had five children: Aubrey, Don, Gordon, Vera, and Madeline. William died in 1923.
