History

John Ullock, the son of Mary Ann Mcdonald and Thomas Ullock, was born at Chatham, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, probably in the late 19th century. For many years he resided at Newcastle, now Miramichi, N.B. He served as librarian and curator of the Northumberland Masonic Library and Museum and was a member of the Miramichi Historical Society. An amateur historian, he spent time researching the histories of freemasonry, New Brunswick communities, railways, and other subjects.
