Branch begins ca. 1780

History

John Turner, descendant of pre-Loyalist planters, married Ann Witter and moved to the area which became Albert County, New Brunswick about 1780. Their son Joseph Witter Turner (1789-1835), married Nancy Peck and had 8 children, including Joseph Allen Turner (1818-1896). Joseph Allen married Mary Brewster and their children were James Brewster, Henry Allen, Gilbert, Mary A. and Joseph Witter Turner.

James Brewster Turner (1844-1904) married first, Josephine Reid (1849-1884), secondly Charlotte 'Lottie' Reid (1859-1890) and finally Minnie McClellan. Rebecca Janie Turner married Watson E. Reid
