Biographical history
Thomas Edward Millidge (1814-1894) was a Saint John, New Brunswick, shipbuilder and shipowner. He built square-rigged ships and sailing vessels at Millidgeville on the Kennebecasis River.
Thomas was married to Sarah White. Their children were: Thomas (b. ca. 1844); Lewis (b. ca. 1849); Sarah (b. ca. 1853); Vicius (b. ca. 1857); Francis (b. ca. 1859); Cecil (b. ca. 1861); Arthur (b. ca. 1863); Mary (b. ca. 1865); Florrie (b. ca. 1867)

Scope and content
This fonds consists of a ledger which records all of Millidge's accounts payable and receivable for his business and personal affairs. It includes detailed accounts of the building and maintenance of named ships.
