This fonds consists of records of the society. There is a letter book, 1878-1898, containing copies of letters sent by the society, mostly dealing with purchases of law books, journals, and general supplies.
Council records, 1893-1957, consist of annual reports by the presidents, with individual reports by the secretary-treasurer and the librarian and a record of the yearly election of officers. The General Meetings Records (minutes), 1900-1947, consist of the routine business of the society and include financial records and mentions of the death of members. There are newsclippings pasted throughout this book.
The loose papers in file folders include financial reports, 1925-1926 and 1930-1931; president's reports for 1942-1943 and 1943-1944; and a small amount of general correspondence dealing with book orders.
