Item is the family bible which was published in 1841 belonging to the Boultenhouse family. On the first page is written “John E. Boultenhouse” … “From his Mother, who died Jan 5 1868”. In the middle of the volume are four pages labeled “Family Record” with subheadings, “marriages”, “births”, and “deaths”.

Burwash Robinson General Store and Tannery

Fonds relates to the commercial life of Burwash Robinson in Middle Sackville, New Brunswick. Fonds consists of Burwash Robinson’s receipt book dated to the 1940’s; a copy of a photograph of what is believed to be Burwash Robinson’s Tannery taken in the 1960’s (and copied in 2010); and two photographs of Burwash Robinson’s General Store likely taken around 1997-2003, long after it was closed (to the right of Burwash Robinson’s General Store is the Smith Home and to the right of that is Black’s General Store). Fonds reflects Captain Richard Lowerison’s career as a Master Mariner, including his education, certificates, 1860-1862 voyage from Virginia to Jamaica on the Prince of Wales, and business interactions with Gideon Palmer of Dorchester, New Brunswick. These records consist of a financial diary, voyage logbook, victualling bill, seamanship textbook, Masters certificates, access pass, and a pocket card.

Fonds consists of a scrapbook used to compile programmes, invitations and related ephemera from Carolyn Spicer’s time at the Mount Allison Ladies’ College. The contents of the fonds provide evidence of numerous sporting, recreational and leisure activities (i.e. skating) on the campus and provide evidence of what was of interest to female student in the first decade of the twentieth century.

The Charles D. Stewart series contain general correspondence, 1912-1934; correspondence regarding a memorial to Mrs. Charles D. Stewart, 1918 and 1934; letters to Charles Stewart regarding the death of Harriet S. Stewart; and material regarding Harriet Starr Stewart.

The Harriet Starr Stewart series includes letters and notes to Harriet from members of various Women’s Missionary Societies upon her leaving for Regina, 1917; a letter (possibly a draft) to friends of the Sackville Auxiliary of the W.M.S. from Harriet S. Stewart, Regina, 1 May 1917; a statement of appreciation by the Board of Management of the Sackville Methodist Sunday School, following Harriet’s departure for Regina; and an MA Hood received by Harriet S. Stewart, Mount Allison University, 1885. Included in the papers is a book, "Tales of Tantramar". A souvenir of Sackville, New Brunswick, by Mabel Dixon.
