General note
In the Isaac Wry and Descendants Collection 2006.14 Inventory,
Alward notes that, “after grade 8, due to a severe illness, my parents hired the Wood Point school teacher, Miss Annie Throop, to tutor me. I stayed at home and studied and most every afternoon, Monday to Friday for one hour from 4-5 pm I was taught in the school. At the end of the school year I wrote the highschool exams and was graded to grade 10”.
