Administrative history
The Midian Lodge was first established in 1805. On January 11, 1805, a petition was sent to the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia, praying for a warrant for holding lodge of the Free and Accepted masons in the town of Kingston. This petition was granted and the lodge would bounce from venue to venue until it was disbanded in 1894 after years of poor attendance and a lack of money due to the high number of farmers that were members.
