History

In 1890, the General Store on Mill Street in Marysville, New Brunswick, became Marysville Store Co. Ltd. It was incorporated in 1918 with Joseph Dolphin, Edwin Kinsley and Elbridge Staples as directors. E. Staples was manager until 1921 when Elbridge Harrison became manager. In 1949, he bought the other shareholders out. His son, Harry Harrison, and grandson, Donald, ran it after Elbridge's death in 1960. Harry put it on a cash basis in 1965 to try to compete with the chain stores springing up in the area; he finally closed in 1979.
