Author: Alex W. Longfellow - Alexander Wadsworth Longfellow Sr. (1814 - 1901), excelled as a topographer, a mariner, an explorer and an artist. He worked on mapping the Maine New Brunswick border. Alex was the brother of famous poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Alex's son, Alexander Wadsworth Longfellow Jr., became a well known architect in the 19th and 20th centuries.
