The fonds consists of a record book for Zion Church, dated 1859 to 1865. The record book contains the minutes of monthly church meetings that include some names of those present. It documents the structure of the meetings and type of business conducted. An historical sketch of Zion Church, its endowments, rules of order and a confession of faith, are included in the book. There is also a membership list for August 1864 with names and street addresses.
The fonds consists of 9 volumes of minute books. The 5 volumes dated from 1897 to 1945 belonged to the United Women's Missionary Societies and the remaining 4 volumes (1945-1973) belonged to the Women's Inter-Church Council of Saint John.
Information about the structure of meetings, some names of members and missionaries and general missionary work is included. The Women's Inter-Church Council minutes include some financial reports, a type copy of the constitution and by-laws adopted in 1967, and some printed orders of church services and newsclippings relating to the annual World Day of Prayer. In volume 9, there are lists of executive members and denominational members of the Council from 1965-1973.

The earlier records include correspondence of the Board of Trustees, 1838-1893, 1957-1958, and some receipts and invoices,1838-1920. There are also minutes of the Board of Stewards, 1936-1949, 1964; membership lists, reports and other material of the Board of Sessions, 1940-1961; balance sheets and budgets, 1945-1964; and minutes of the A.O.T.S Men's Club, 1954-1968.

This fonds contains a diary about Jean Dalzell's trip to the Grenfell Mission and her experiences at work, finishing on September 4, telling of a wedding she attended - nothing of her sickness. There is also private correspondence regarding her job application and personal correspondence between family and friends and between her family and the hospital during her illness - including telegrams, a photograph of her in nurses uniform upon completion of her training, and her high school certificate dated 1916.
The Mather Byles letterbooks are held as Volume 25 of the Winslow Family fonds. The five letterbooks contain holographic copies of letters written by Mather Byles to Edward Winslow during 1784-1786 when Byles was in Halifax and Saint John. Byles informs Winslow of events in Halifax as they occur and thanks Winslow for his support on both a financial and influential level.
This fonds documents the personal, religious and professional lives of Ezekiel McLeod, Joseph McLeod and to a minor extent, Joseph McLeod's sons, from 1849-1944. Contained in the fonds are Religious Intelligencer business records including ledgers, accounts and financial documentation. Also included are sermons, speeches and meditations, correspondence, documentation pertaining to the Royal Commission on The Liquor Traffic, 1892, Maritime Prohibition Minute book, 1900 - 1901, and material relating to temperance and prohibition. Formats are mostly original and include handwritten business records and notes, a booklet, newspapers, publications and typescripts.
