This series contains a pamphlet for the Royal Canadian Legion Passamaquoddy Branch No.8 Remembrance Day Service from 2008, a pamphlet from Veteran’s Affairs Canada titled “25 Ways to Take Part in Veteran’s Week” which lists ways someone could spend time to remember Canada’s veterans, and a pamphlet titled “Never Again!” by the War Amps, which lists video material available for order meant to educate people about the horrors of war. There is also a promotional document from the War Amps which lists educational World War I and World War II books and films.

This series contains newspaper articles related to World War I and World War II veterans from Charlotte County as well as news related to veteran’s affairs and Remembrance Day. The different topics of these articles can include special Remembrance Day events hosted in Charlotte County communities or other parts of Canada, editorials on Remembrance Day or veteran’s affairs, reprints of old Charlotte County newspaper articles or advertisement from wartime, articles on local families with military history, poems, stories of Charlotte County veterans who participated in major battles or events in the wars, and obituaries for local veterans.

Correspondence with Charlotte County Archives

This series contains a letter from Veteran’s Affairs Canada to the Charlotte County Archives from October 1 1997, requesting that the Archives do something special to commemorate Veteran’s Week. Attached is a form filled in by the Charlotte County Archives detailing historical items that were planned to be displayed for Veteran’s Week.
