The item consists of a map titled "George Sproule, Esq., Surveyor General , New Brunswick - 29 March,1809 land grant map of Grand Manan, copy." A black and white microfilm printout of the land grants on Grand Manan Island, NB in 1809 shows that most of the Island has been granted by this date. It is handwritten.
Papers consists of the day-to-day activities Harris Hatch was experiencing through correspondence and receipts. Majority of the papers from the correspondence series comes from business related letters to and from clients from various areas in and around Charlotte County. While the Receipted Bills series consists primarily of personal expenses for his home (now the Ross Memorial Museum (188 Montague St., St. Andrews, NB)) and family members.
Fonds reflects Captain Richard Lowerison’s career as a Master Mariner, including his education, certificates, 1860-1862 voyage from Virginia to Jamaica on the Prince of Wales, and business interactions with Gideon Palmer of Dorchester, New Brunswick. These records consist of a financial diary, voyage logbook, victualling bill, seamanship textbook, Masters certificates, access pass, and a pocket card.
This fonds includes the correspondence of Pickett family, 1834-1907, most of the early correspondence being letters of David Wetmore and his wife to his parents. Many of the later letters are addressed to David Wetmore's children, especially Lucy and Margaret. There is an acount book with charges for tuition at Kings Collegiate School, 1858-1861, and accounts of the church wardens, 1874-1883.
Other family records include deeds, 1837-1889; sermons and addresses of David Wetmore Pickett, 1876-1906; Horatio Pickett estate papers, 1873-1881; and correspondence and other material regarding the Welling family, 1809-1955. This fonds consists primarily of Baxter's records of the Royal Commission to inquire into statements made by "The Standard" concerning the Provincial Hospital at Fairville, New Brunswick. It includes issues of the paper, drafts of the report and testimony, extracts from the press and correspondence. There is also a number of documents collected by Baxter including letters from famous people and original miltiary records of Saint John, 1808-1926.
Item is a brown seamanship and navigation book containing information on projection, trigonometry, Gunter's scale, Mercator's scale, winds tides, keeping a ship's log lunar observations and sea terms.
This fonds consists in large part of the official records of the various offices Dr. Bailey held during his career at the University of New Brunswick from 1938-1970. There is a large amount of material relating to his extensive literary contributions, including articles; manuscripts, published and unpublished books; and records from his editorial role in "The Literary History of Canada". There are also some personal papers and a small number of family papers. The fonds is divided into 15 series:

Fonds consists mainly of correspondence between family members including Susan and Rebecca Crane and other women; Cogswell, Crane, Morse genealogical notes; legal documents; clippings; family photographs; watercolors painted by Ruth Roach Crane when she was a schoolgirl in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The Dibblee fonds deals extensively with litigation related to the lumbering industry, providing information on relationships among lumberers, suppliers, and sheriffs. Included are documents for about 2450 civil cases. There is relatively little non-litigated work (about 120 matters, mostly deeds for land), and very little criminal material.
In addition to professional and family correspondence, the fonds includes voluminous documentation arising out of construction of Dibblee's stone house in Fredericton in late 1820s. Also included are records of Dibblee's role as an executor in defending the estate of Receiver General George Pidgeon Bliss against claims of province. There are documents relating to local government in Westmorland County assembled by Edward B. Chandler and papers of Hampton (Kings County) lawyer George Otty mainly about debt collection. There is also some material concerning only law partner, George Frederick Street Berton (1808-1840), editor of "Berton's Reports of Supreme Court of New Brunswick."
This fonds consists of letters from the Camp family in Lincoln, New Brunswick, to the Buckingham family in Connecticut, 1803-1853. The letters discuss family matters. There are also records of land holdings and other financial documents.
