Census of Northern and Southern Grand Manan, 1821

Census information showing names of male and female residents, including children over 16 and children under 16, and indicating the numbers of oxen, cows, sheep and hogs owned. Document is part of the House of Assembly papers. A transcript of this is to be found on page 27 volume 1 of "Sands of Time" published by the Grand Manan Genealogical Society 1980.

The Grant diary records the daily activities of the Grant family of Old Ridge, St. Stephen Parish, Charlotte County, New Brunswick, between 29 January 1827 and 30 May 1827. The diarist mentions the wedding of sister Marjory, attending church meetings, work done on the farm, visits to and from family and friends, the weather, and community events.

There is also a brief memo containing genealogical information on the Grant family which was probably compiled by Mr. Maxwell.

"Salt Sea Breezes of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea NB". A booklet put out by the Tourist Association of St. Andrews probably in the 1920's or earlier. It is illustrated with photographs and drawings. Also includes a letter from Lewis A. Mills to F.H. Grimmer, a request for assistance from an "Elisha" to Mr. Grimmer, and letters to George Grimmer concerning the appointments of a Public Notary and a Commissioner for Charlotte County.

It includes diaries of activities, book of tables and astronomical observations, field journals of sketches, plans and descriptions of grants and land holdings. There are survey and inspection reports of sawmills and logging operations as well.

Maternal Association of Milltown St. Stephen fonds

This fonds consists of a minute book which contains minutes of meetings of the Maternal Association of Milltown St. Stephen, as well as lists of members and their children and a copy of the constitution.

A number of pages have been removed from the book. The final entry, dated 1879, concerns the death of an unnamed woman.
