This fonds contains a property deed, 1910; constitutions for the Grand Harbour Recreational Club (n.d.) and the Grand Harbour Sports Council (ca. 1950); subscription lists as interested groups raised money for building and maintaining the ball diamond (n.d.); and minutes, 1947-1948, of the Grand Harbour Recreational Club.
This fonds includes the Club's Rules and Regulations, information on and results of challenge races and sailings for the years 1895; 1897; 1898; and 1899. Racing reports, names of boats and owners listed, and minutes of meetings are included as well as letters of resignation to the club over disciplinary conduct and disqualification of boats.
This fonds contains a diary about Jean Dalzell's trip to the Grenfell Mission and her experiences at work, finishing on September 4, telling of a wedding she attended - nothing of her sickness. There is also private correspondence regarding her job application and personal correspondence between family and friends and between her family and the hospital during her illness - including telegrams, a photograph of her in nurses uniform upon completion of her training, and her high school certificate dated 1916.
This collection contains poetry written by a number of authors, including Archer Wilcox, Hiram Wilcox, and Lee Wilcox; stories of shipwrecks; obituaries; and Wilcox family history. Also included are the 1928-1929 Wood Island School register and a 1963 assessment list for Grand Manan. There is also a picture of a page from the Wilcox family Bible.
