This collection contains 18 original enlarged photos of many ferries that serviced Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick from 1930 - 2010, some are mounted in professional scrapbooks. There are 3 cm of original newspaper articles in chronological order of stories about the ferry service. Two compact disks contain memories of the final voyages of The M.V. Grand Manan in service from 1965 to 2010. One compact disk was used on the official final voyage of the ferry as a part of the program and has a video of many ferry photos with the crew singing the song The Grand Manan playing in the background. The other compact disk has 200 images of the life on The Grand Manan with the crew featured doing their daily routines. Of the 200 images 45 were printed off for reference. As an index, there are 6 photo pages with thumbnail size photos of all 200 images.

New ferries arrived in 1965 and 1990 and 2010.

This collection contains tintypes, dating from 1875 to 1920. It also contains many studio photographs mounted on cardboard and prints on photographic paper. There are also photo albums that have tintypes and mounted photos. Many of the images are scenes of Grand Manan Island.

This fonds contains the records created in organizing and operating the Grand Manan Farmer's Co-Operative Limited. Included are:

This fonds contains the records preserved from a family owned building where different businesses operated. The contents include: correspondence ; invoices in alphabetical order, with catalogues and advertising and ledgers from suppliers ; day books and journals in chronological order ; Telegrams in alphabetical order by local resident name 1916-1929 ; Registered letter ledger for Seal Cove Post Office 1911-1914 ; Journal for recording telephone calls 1953-1954 ; and original fish can labels two different types. Fonds consists of newspaper clippings, a calendar, interview notes and a photocopy of "The Story of 'B.P.'" by William Hill Court.

This fonds contains the monthly reports of keepers at Long Eddy fog alarm from 1874-1946. It includes records of the weather, the stores and supplies ordered, the repairs made, and the hours the fog alarm was operating.

This collection consists of newspaper articles, magazine articles, letters, stories, and histories relating to Machias Seal Island lightstation and bird sanctuary. There are articles concerning the boundary dispute between the Canadian and United States governments over ownership of the Island and a computer printout of the International Court of Justice Case Summaries Judgement of 12 October 1984 concerning ownership.

This collection contains diaries and reports of weather, visitors, the times when the light was lit and turned off, and the length of time operating each day. The records were kept by the Grand Harbour lighthouse keepers from 1949-1960. There are also blank forms of Hand Horn or Fog Bell Returns.

This fonds consists of Clarence Newton's cash book, 1897-1898, listing all assets of the company and their location and value. Also included are the Newton Bros. Ltd. account books, 1950-1954 listing account details and payouts for expenses and salaries incurred in operating a store. The purchase journal lists the names of suppliers, the cost of stock and shipping, and expenses related to stock.

This fonds contains a property deed, 1910; constitutions for the Grand Harbour Recreational Club (n.d.) and the Grand Harbour Sports Council (ca. 1950); subscription lists as interested groups raised money for building and maintaining the ball diamond (n.d.); and minutes, 1947-1948, of the Grand Harbour Recreational Club.
