Collection contains material concerning the Anderson family, founding pioneers of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, including genealogical information for the Anderson’s of Sackville, New Brunswick, identifying the branch that migrated west before the mid 1870's. Fonds consists of mostly marsh records, a bill, a letter, and a photoprint. The marsh records (Tantramar marshes) were probably kept by his great-great-grandfather, Thomas Anderson, Jr. (1775-1852), Commissioner of Sewers. Thomas’ name appears in several of the documents, one being the survey map (1825), along with the name of his son, John. The bill for the schooner “Bella” is signed by G. (George) Anderson, shipbuilder and master mariner, Sackville, New Brunswick. Anderson names appearing in the letter, T.R. (Captain Thomas Rheese Anderson) and Albert, are first cousins.

File contains research material compiled by Frances Wade as a result of a family genealogical research, consisting of Bulmer and Gaskin family genealogy charts and notes and pictures of members of the Bulmer family. In addition the material includes a coloured photocopy of a sampler worked by Sarah Ann Bulmer, 1855, depicting a house. Wade’s research material about early houses in Sackville and Dorchester, New Brunswick, collected as she attempted to identify the house, is also included.

Fonds consists of two letters to Hiram Copp, Sackville, New Brunswick, from James Robert Inch, Superintendent of Education, Province of New Brunswick, Fredericton, New Brunswick, regarding instructions for building a double house on Salem Street in Sackville. The letters are dated July 24 and August 1, 1893. They document the origin of a house owned by Mount Allison University since 1966, now called the French House. They also identify the residence of J.R. Inch, a former president of Mount Allison, who returned to Sackville to live after his retirement in 1909.
