Also includes a letter from Lewis A. Mills to F.H. Grimmer, a request for assistance from an "Elisha" to Mr. Grimmer, and letters to George Grimmer concerning the appointments of a Public Notary and a Commissioner for Charlotte County.

This contains records of the Loyal Orange Association in Kingston, New Brunswick. The Kingston lodge was a branch of the Boyne Orange Lodge, a section of the Orange Order. The Orange Order was a nativist protestant organization with roots in British loyalist groups in eighteenth-century Ireland. It commemorated the Battle of the Boyne and the Protestant Ascendency. In Canada, it championed allegiance to the British Crown. The organization itself was modelled on the Masons.
