This collection consists of family letters from 1858-1861.

Included in these papers are: bills and correspondence of James Rogerson and Theodore Doughty of Deer Island; 3 mortgages (James Rogerson mortgagor and G.H. Grimmer mortgagee) and correspondence pertaining to these mortgages; a pilotage licence for Charlotte County area issued to Joseph Cline in 1874; 1 item pertaining to Mr. C.E. Tewksbury. Papers relate to the house built ( 1898 ) by the great grandfather of the donor Freda Andrews. The great grandfather's name was James Rogerson, son of the first Robert Rogerson who settled on Deer Island in 1833 and ran the first school on the Island from his home.

Fonds consists of 2 letters to John Dick from his father, brother and mother in Ireland.Dated 1850 & 1851. Document regarding John Dick & Susanna McGibbon marriage 11 Oct 1844 & the birth of their son William born 28 sept 1845 & baptised 5 Oct John Dick married Susanna McGibbon,who where both protestants, they came from County Aphram & sailed in May 1846 and settled in St. Stephen and Moores Mills.

Tale of a survivor of Nazis in Norway" - Telgraph Journal - letter from Mrs. Myre to sisters and brothers in Canada.
Letter reprinted in the Telegraph Journal in 1975 originally printed in 1945. The letter is from Mrs. Myre to her sisters and brothers in Canada describing her time in a concentration camp in Norway for 7 months. Mrs Nodding is one of the sisters and was living in Black's Harbour at the time - and she had the letter printed in the Telgraph Journal.
