Items are a group of documents related to Pauline’s service with St. John Ambulance. Item includes a certificate, a letter from the organization in which Alward was asked to receive in her name a Priory Vote of Thanks from the Governor General, a program from the event at which the award was received, and a schedule of the event.
Item is a newspaper clipping which highlights the occasion when the doors to York Street were officially opened at the Owens Art Gallery. The clipping has two photographs of Pauline (Alward) Spatz standing between Mayor Will Campbell and Mount Allison University President Ian Newbould
Item is a certificate of appreciation presented to Pauline Spatz by the Town of Sackville in recognition of her interest, time and personal commitment to the Owens Art Gallery. This was given as part of Sackville’s Volunteer Appreciation night, and was described in two newspaper clippings included with the certificate.
Items are three autograph books belonging to Pauline (Alward) Spatz and containing inscriptions from numerous individuals. The green book is dated from Wood Point, NB, 1935 and includes inscriptions from her parents and grandparents. The blue patterned book was a gift from a friend for Christmas 1939, and many of the autographs within are from time spent at a cottage on Mason’s Beach when working on correspondence courses in summer 1941. Lastly, the brown album contains autographs primarily from 1942 – 1943, and from her time spent at Sackville High School.
