Fonds consists of personal papers and also includes records belonging to Ethel Peake, some given to Smith or possibly borrowed or received following her death and used in his research for biographical note "Ethel Marguerite Peake, 1885-1954" (accession 8426). Peake files contain correspondence 1908-1943; biographical brochure [between 1923 and 1936]; clippings; Mount Allison Department of Music student records, 1936-1944 (students of Peake); photographs, including several of Peake; Allison G. Patterson file, 1951 and 1981.

Much of the material relating to the history of the history of the congregations before 1933 was destroyed in a fire. Most of the surviving records date from 1949 and were found in 1990 in the balcony of the synagogue. Extensive records of correspondence, annual reports, minutes, financial records, and membership lists were among what was found. There is also a large section of information available on bat/bat mitzvah, marriage and burial records for the genealogist. The cemetery records are the most complete as a database of all burials in the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery was compiled between 1997 and 2011. Material on these lifecycle events generally comes from personal memorabilia and newspaper records. A section on Jewish traditions and holidays is appended to show how these have been observed in this community and elsewhere.

Records for the communities in Moncton and Fredericton are very limited and include information found in public records including newspapers.

Ce fonds est composé de trois séries : administration (1986-1989), finances (1986-1989) et les tournées (1986-1989). Le fonds Compagnie Viola-Léger reflète plus partliculièrement les aspects administratifs et financiers d'une troupe de théâtre moderne. Les procès-verbaux et les bilans financiers démontrent le travail de l'arrière-scène, celui que le grand public ignore. Le fonds démontre aussi la dépendance toujours grandissante des arts envers les subventions financières des divers paliers gouvernementaux.

Ce fonds est constitué de trois séries : correspondance (1974), administration (1978) et pamphlet (1978). Il comprend des procès-verbaux et comptes-rendus du Conseil d'administration lors de ses dernières années de fonctionnement. Les communautés religieuses ont de tout temps occupé une place importante dans le domaine des soins hospitaliers. Les soeurs de la Providence occupaient ce rôle à l'Hôtel-Dieu de Moncton (Hôpital Georges-L.-Dumont), seul hôpital francophone de Moncton (Nouveau-Brunswick).

À noter que le programme contient la liste de tous les présidents du Cercle acadien Beauséjour de 1946 à 1971.
