Flewelling Scholarships for Vocational Research," (11 pp.) It includes a discussion of E. L. Flewelling's educational philosophy.

The Mather Byles letterbooks are held as Volume 25 of the Winslow Family fonds. The five letterbooks contain holographic copies of letters written by Mather Byles to Edward Winslow during 1784-1786 when Byles was in Halifax and Saint John. Byles informs Winslow of events in Halifax as they occur and thanks Winslow for his support on both a financial and influential level.

Martin Hunter letter

Letter to Lord Hobart from Colonel Martin Hunter (later General Martin Hunter) dated 30 August 1803. Martin reports that he is ordered to New Brunswick "to raise a regiment" and asks if he may be appointed Governor of New Brunswick in place of Governor Thomas Carleton, whom he understands is to be returning to England.

Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent and Strathern

This collection documents the Duke's military activities at Gibraltar, Canada, and the West Indies. The majority of the correspondence is between Prince Edward and Colonel, later General, William Edmeston, however, there are a few letters to Edmeston from other military officers and administrators including I. Hale, G. Smyth, John Montrifor, G.H. Charlton, I.A. Vesey, and Lieutenant Colonel Scott. The letters were written from various locations: Gibraltar, Quebec, Halifax, St. Helen's, Hilsea, London, and Antrim and discuss the 50th Regiment of Foot and the Royal Fusiliers. The collection also contains two separate lists containing the names, age and height of soldiers transferred between the 50th Regiment of Foot and the Royal Fusiliers, one is dated 20 May 1791 and the other is undated; a three-page account, dated 11 April 1793, detailing a plot planned by four soldiers from the Royal Fusiliers to murder Prince Edward; and a copy of a four-page narrative, written on 20 February 1798, giving details of the battle fought by the Grenadiers of the 40th Regiment when the islands of Martinique, Grenada, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, and Tobago were taken during the Seven Years War.

This fonds documents the personal, professional, and military activities of several generations of the Winslow family. It includes correspondence, accounts, diaries, claims, deeds, grants, commissions, court records, and memorials. It also includes a military campaign journal and a field book of the Chibnitook survey.

There are family correspondence and papers, 1695-1866, relating principally to Edward Winslow, Jr. and General Henry Fox's letterbook, August to September 1783, relating primarily to public business in Nova Scotia. Seven letterbooks of Edward Winslow's letters to his wife, Mary Symonds Winslow, 1784, are included as well as five letterbooks of Mather Byles, containing letters to Winslow, 1784-1786, and Stephen Miller's book.

The financial records include W. Winslow accounts, 1794-1800, and Edward Winslow accounts, 1770-1811. There are three diaries of Benjamin Marston's, 1778-1787, a campaign journal, 1779, and Edward Winslow's diary, 1779-1810. Also included are sketches, the field book of the Chibnitook survey (original), 1797-1799, land claims, land records, and other legal and court records. Among the court records are a record of 3 cases before the New Brunswick Court of Common Pleas, 1796-1808, 3 volumes on the Maine-New Brunswick Boundary Arbitration, 1796-1808, and memorials, commissions, claims, and remarks by Ward Chipman, British agent, and James Sullivan, ship's agent.
