This collection consists of 46 ledgers recording the names of Island Residents subscribing to Telephone Service. Dates given with each book are the earliest dates of each book. The collection includes, 25 Account Books, 3 Ledgers, 3 Cash Books, 1 Minutes Book, 1 Stock Book, 4 Employees' Time Books, 5 Subscribers' Ledgers, 2 Stock Certificate Books, 2 Telegraph Books, 1.36 m textual records, 3 Rubber Stamps of Grand Manan Telephone Co., 1906 and newspaper clippings (ca. 1945) - 1959. One ledger file 9/3 was donated in 2017 by Dornell Greene, it was used by Loreena Travis (Nookie) switchboard operator.

This collection consists of technical books, papers, and manuscripts documenting the history of the electrification of Grand Manan. The ledger documents the installation of wires to individual locations and then maintenance at that location. The ledger used was a telegraph ledger but the entries are all for 'Electrical Works'. The ledger was used from Oct. 1929 to 31 Jan. 1930. Also included is an NB Power Museum Kit, acquired in 1990, which contains a history of the electrification of the Province of New Brunswick. There is also an NB Power calendar for 1994.
The item consists of a map titled "Grand Manan Villages and surrounding Islands by Eric Allaby, 1993." This map shows Eric's love for sharing his knowledge with others and he has published many maps describing Grand Manan and her history.
This collection consists of reports created by researchers at the Research Station. The early reports are photocopies, because the originals were out of print at the time of the deposit. More recent reports are originals.
This collection contains records created in the running and organizing of Grand Manan Schools in the Castalia area of Grand Manan Island. There are financial documents, minutes, and reports from different groups. For 2 years Castalia had a High School for grades 10 & 11 for the whole island.
This fonds contains correspondence; sales statements; 2 tidetable books, 1925 and 1938; several entries of business interests other than fishing or boat building; and papers occurred in the building of a new house in 1940-1942; records and memorabilia from Gleason Green's membership in the Knights of Pythias Lodge and his travels to Scandinavia, Newfoundland, St. Pierre, Iceland, and the Magdalene Islands.
