Three papers from the estate of William Deming, Calais Me, 1834-58. Includes a brewery receipt from 1858, a court summons from 1839 and bill of exchange from 1834. Papers are from William Deming Sr and William Deming Jr.

Walter M. Buck - Book of Poems
Item is a 78 page book of poetry featuring the works of Walter Mansfield Buck. Buck was born in Dublin, Ireland, in December of 1826. A civil engineer, Buck came to Canada in 1852 where he was appointed Chief Engineer of the New Brunswick & Canadian Railway. From that time on he held important positions on every railroad in New Brunswick, and at the time of his death in 1881 he was Provincial Engineer of New Brunswick. Buck lived in St. Andrews and a was a member of the All Saints Anglican Church. Buck revised the plans to convert the All Saints Church from a stone structure to a wooden one.

On the reverse, there is a sketch of the military land at the East Block House Saint Andrews NB, surveyed by William Mahood 1867.

Most of the material concerns the Wesley United Church in St. Andrews, but there are also documents on the Leonardville United Church, Grand Manan Methodist Church, Bocabec United Church, Kirk-McColl United Church, St. Stephen Presbytery, and the United Church Women in St. Andrews.
