This fonds consists of the will of Benjamin Barker, 1800, and 3 deeds for family property in York and Sunbury counties, 1779-1796.

The fonds consists of an extraction book and a letter. The extract book, dated 1793, belonged to Maria Ann Smart of Saint John. There is a note on the inside cover stating the book was a present from Miss Street. An index is included. This book contains handwritten copies of verse, prose, and hymns by various people, including friends.

The letter, dated 1804, is addressed to Elizabeth Smart, at Fredericton by her sister Frances Ager, living in Windsor, England. The letter describes her living quarters near Windsor Castle and discusses her husband's employment at the Castle. She writes of seeing Royalty pass by en route to St. George's Chapel. The letter also mentions the couple's two daughters, as well as relatives living in England.

The fonds consists of family records. There are two lot certificates for land on Germain Street, dated 1783, belonging to John Chaloner (lot 553) and Benjamin Chaloner (lot 554). There is a commission of 1827 appointing Benjamin Chaloner tide surveyor, gauger, and weightmaster in Saint John. There is also a bond, dated 1828, given by Ninyon Chaloner to Benjamin C. Chaloner, executor of John Chaloner's estate. It bound Ninyon to ensure that Peggy, a Black woman who had been the late John Chaloner's servant, received comfortable care during her lifetime and at her death, a decent burial at Ninyon's expense.

This fonds consists of a letter book of John Venner Thurgar, 1827-1831 and a receipt book of business transactions for Robinson & Thurgar, 1824-1829.

This fonds consists of correspondence and other material of the Indian Academy, 1786-1832. There are returns of scholars 1808-1809, 1813, 1825, and receipts re: payments and supplies, 1808-1826.

The fonds consists of a lot certificate given to Hannah Flood in 1837. It is for lot 35 in the southeast range in Willow Grove, Loch Lomond. The certificate was given by the body responsible for administration of Crown grants to the Black refugees. It is unclear whether Hannah Flood had actually purchased the land.

This fonds cconsists of two letters, one from Hugh in 1818 and the other from Mary in 1837. The letters contain family news.
