Charles Connell

This fonds consists mainly of legal documents and correspondence related to Charles Connell's career and activities as a lawyer, politician, businessman, and land owner. Legal documents include deeds, leases, mortgages, bonds, and indentures, all naming transactions made by clients of Charles Connell and legal documents naming Charles Connell as either a purchaser or seller of land. Also contained within the fonds are land grants owned by Charles Connell, including information, such as, county and parish name, acreage, lot number, and the date when it was registered. Correspondence includes business letters regarding Connell's interests in the lumber industry and real estate and personal correspondence of Connell family members.

Fonds consists mainly of documents related to Charlotte Miriam Ginson's education and early career as a school teacher. There are certificates including birth, marriage, church, and music; Ginson's entrance marks into the Provincial Normal School; her teacher's license, dated 1933; and an autograph album, dated 1908 kept to her mother, E. Lillian Christie, during her attendance at the Provincial Normal School.

Fonds also contains business documents consisting of promissory notes, correspondence, and tax notices regarding the school and municipality of the parish of Wilmot. Personal documents include Eda McBride's 1952 death certificate and correspondence.

This fonds consists entirely of minute books created by the Carleton County Agricultural Society during the following time periods: 1875-1906, 1919-1924, 1929-1939, 1943-1946, and 1948-1953. Minute books contain information on the society's finances and information on topics discussed at society meetings, including crops, livestock, and exhibitions.

Dalling family

This fonds consists mainly of documents related to the Dalling family's personal activities rather than to the family's jewelry store. There are photographs, correspondence, journals, photoplays and essays, social memorabilia, memorials, and newspaper clippings. Photographs date from 1885 to 1960 and are of Woodstock landmarks and the surrounding landscape. There are also photographs taken of family members and of Carleton County residents.

Correspondence includes letters written from W.V. Dalling to Mrs. H.V. Dalling and business associates, 1889-1917; and letters written to Edith Dalling, 1920-1929. The journals belong to Mrs. H.V. Dalling, 1886-1898, Estella B. Townsend, 1908-1927, Edith Dalling, 1914, and Leslie Mavor,1958. Photoplays and essays were written by William and Orville Dalling and John McKilligan. Social memorabilia includes programs, dance cards, and invitations. Memorials include cards for the deaths of John McKilligan, Ruby Dalling, Thomas Dalling, and Matilda Dalling. Newspaper clippings concern H.V. Dalling and his manufacturing of the first two telephones in Woodstock.

Dr. Thomas Farmer Sprague

This fonds consists mainly of documents pertaining to Dr. T. F. Sprague's professional career as a doctor. There are account books which include the names of his patients, the cost of their visits, amount paid, and in most cases, the purpose of the visit, i.e. dressing for hand, injury. There are notes of whether medicine was given to the patient, but the type of medicine is not named nor whether the patient was cured. Also included are T. F. Sprague's personal financial receipts, correspondence with patients related to money owed, and certificates T. F. Sprague received throughout his career as a physician.

Gage Workman Montgomery

Fonds mainly consists of Gage Montgomery’s financial receipts. There are insurance invoices, dated 1925-1929, from the Confederation Life Association, Canada Life Assurance Company, Sun Life Company of Canada, and Mutual Life Assurance Company of Canada. The fonds also contains correspondence dated 1927 from cousin Gage, Nell, and Marilyn Montgomery in Washington and a 1921 certificate from the Loyal Orange Association of British America to Henry Montgomery. There are also original poems, a play, and stories written by Hugh R. Montgomery from Debec Junction and dated 1925.
