Lochhead family fonds

Fonds consists mainly of records generated by family relationships and Douglas Grant Lochhead's professional records. Fonds is arranged in six series: William and Lillias Lochhead, 1879-1949; Alan Grant and Helen Lochhead, 1913-1984; Douglas Grant Lochhead, 1939-1987; Kenneth C. Lochhead, 1930-1984; Articles and clippings; and photographs, predominantly of friends and family.

Esther Elizabeth Rogers collection

Collection consists of transcriptions of student essays, letters to family, and diary citations dated between 1915 and 1919. Much of the correspondence relates to her year spent at the Mount Allison Ladies’ College. There is also a transcription of an interview with Esther Rogers’ sister, Jean Rogers, conducted in 1994 in which she provides reminiscences of her sister.

Read family

Fonds consists of two typescripts: “Marshlands Inn”; “Grindstone History”, a history of the Read grindstone history, as dictated to Dr. George Stanley by Herbert William Read, father of Herbert C. Read, 1971, edited and revised by H.C. Read during 1990 and 1991, with the assistance of notes by his brother, R.C. Read.
