Fonds consists of diaries by Charles J. Makinson, in which there are clippings and concert programs, with indexes to the vessels and special events.

This fonds conists three series: Series 1 - contains negatives produced by Thaddeus Holownia for the sesquicentennial publication "The History of Mount Allison University, 1839-1989", 1989. Not all of the images appearing in the publication are represented in this accession. Many were produced from photographs in the archives holdings, a few from other sources (possibly the Alumni Office), and others from his own photograph/negative collection. Where more then one negative for an image was produced, the one used for publication in not identified.

Series 2 - contains material related to exhibitions; publications with Thaddeus Holownia’s photography; and published or printed by the Anchorage Press.

Series 3 - contains a copy of "Dykelands, Photographs by Thaddeus Holownia & Poems by Douglas Lochhead", published by McGill-Queen’s University Press, 1989; and photographs, including plates for "Dykelands", a portrait of Thaddeus Holownia, and Douglas Lochhead and a panoramic view made up of three photo prints.

Fonds consists of records generated by club activities and included Charter reports, minutes of meetings, correspondence, and clippings.

Fonds consists of a letter to David Burpee from Enoch Barker, Sheffield, New Brunswick, 1846 and one to David Burpee from C.H. Barker, Saint John, New Brunswick, 1847. They are probably both written by Charles H. Barker, a former Sheffield schoolmate of David Burpee. "Enoch" may be a nickname.

This fonds consists of five series:

• Series 1 : six scrapbooks, including mainly correspondence, bills, accounts and receipts of the Crane & Allison merchant and lumber business, and of the building of the Wesleyan Academy, Sackville, New Brunswick. The scrapbooks also include some Sackville Circuit records of the Wesleyan Methodist Church and Sackville School records. In addition, the fonds includes various correspondence regarding the establishment of the Wesleyan Academy and other business matters.
• Series 2 : 11 letters; 9 from Enoch Wood, 1 from William Temple, and a copy of one from C.F. Allison to the Honorable A. Campbell, Member of Legislative Council, Nova Scotia.
• Series 3 : Letter to C.F. Allison from Humphrey Pickard reporting on the progress of the Methodist Mission, 19 May 1846.
• Series 4 : Letter to Rev. William Temple, Cahirman of the New Brunswick (School) District, from C.F. Allison, proposing the establishment of the Wesleyan Academy, 1839.
• Series 5 : Letter to C.F. Allison from Cunard and Munn concerning the estate of William Crane and shipping business, 3 February 1854.

Contents of this fonds include four series:

• Ships, which contains accounts, bills, receipts, and other shipping documentation pertaining to ships built by the Palmer’s;
• Accounts, which contains financial records, accounts records of various family members, receipts, promissory notes, bonds, and letters;
• Legal documents, which contains deeds, articles of agreements, insurance policies and other legal documentation;
• Personal, which contains legal documentation, wills, essays, postcards, and correspondence of the Palmer family.

Fonds consists of copies of biographical sketches, obituaries, correspondence, and excerpts from publications related to the life and work of Irwin Cameron Mackie, Director of Metallurgy and Research, Dominion Steel & Coal Corporation, Sydney, Nova Scotia; a portrait photograph of I.C. Mackie; and a published copy of "Memorandum re: The Mackie Process for Retarded Cooling of Steel Rails," September 1935, compiled by Max Hickey. The material documents Mr. Mackie's significant research and discovery resulting in the manufacturing of top quality steel rails, and refutes claims made by others regarding this important discovery.
