This fonds contains personal correspondence between William Brydone Jack and his wives, Marian Ellen Peters and Caroline Disbrowe. In letters to Marian Jack mentions his astronomical work with Drs. J.B. Toldervy and James Robb. Also included are newspaper clippings and a sketchbook belonging to Blanche Jack, Dr. William Brydone Jack's daughter.

This fonds consists in large part of the official records of the various offices Dr. Bailey held during his career at the University of New Brunswick from 1938-1970. There is a large amount of material relating to his extensive literary contributions, including articles; manuscripts, published and unpublished books; and records from his editorial role in "The Literary History of Canada". There are also some personal papers and a small number of family papers.

Letter from William Francis Ganong (1864-1941) to James Hannay, dated 12 April 1891, marking the controversy, which lasted until Hannay's death, over the location of Fort La Tour, the early fort built by the French at the mouth of the St. John River.

This fonds, which consists largely of holographs and typescripts of manuscripts in various genre, documents Louis Arthur Cunningham's long and successful career as a popular writer. The fonds also includes print copies of many of his works, especially the short stories.

There is supporting documentation for his literary activities such as correspondence with publishers, legal agreements, and notebooks documenting dates and prices paid as manuscripts were sent to publishers. After his death, there are similar records kept by his widow as she continued to try to sell his work.

There are a few personal and biographical items such as newspaper clippings about Louis Arthur Cunningham, a few photographs and personal documents such as birth and marriage certificates and university diplomas.

The collection consists of primary materials, such as correspondence, privately printed poems, and photographs and secondary materials gathered by Isabel St. John Bliss in preparation for her planned work on Bliss Carman. It is unknown when she acquired and began to organise her research materials.

This fonds documents the writing career of Michael O. Nowlan, as well as much of his work as a teacher of English and advocate of Canadian literature. The fonds consists largely of correspondence to and from Nowlan, and drafts and notes for articles and books. Also included are committee minutes, newspaper clippings, and a few photographs. Despite the existence of separate "Correspondence" files, almost every file in the fonds contains correspondence, usually associated with the material in the file.

This is a collection of personal correspondence from Desmond Pacey to Margaret and/or T.J. Hicks. Largely it consists of personal news about general activities and family life. It includes some Christmas cards with photographs of the Pacey Family, cards by Mary Pacey and newspaper clippings about Desmond Pacey.

This fonds documents various aspects of Malcolm MacKenzie Ross's literary and scholarly activities. It includes originals and copies of correspondence, invitations, newspaper clippings, copies of citations, copies of speeches and addresses (delivered by Ross), and copies of published articles and reviews (by Ross). The fonds also includes published articles about Ross and reviews of his work as well as biographical information.

This fonds consists of 2 autobiographical manuscripts written by Ernest L. Flewelling: "Summary of the Life and Times of Ernest L. Flewelling, B.A., B.Ed.," (2 copies) -- copy 1 ( 21 pp.) and copy 2 ( 24 pp.). The genealogical material in these manuscripts differ as well as the introductions and; "E. & L. Flewelling Scholarships for Vocational Research," (11 pp.) It includes a discussion of E. L. Flewelling's educational philosophy.

This fonds documents the academic and literary career of W. C. Desmond Pacey as well as his work as a university administrator. It also documents aspects of his personal life. The fonds contains personal, family, and general correspondence; literary manuscripts and typescripts; copies of journal articles; newspaper clippings; lecture notes; programmes; photographs; reports and scrapbooks. It also includes financial records, genealogical and biographical information, speeches, and notes. It includes photocopies of correspondence with literary figures, including Elizabeth Brewster, Irving Layton, Dorothy Livesay, and Miriam Waddington and between Lorne Pierce and Frederick Philip Grove.
