Girl Guides, Brownies & Rangers Passamaquoddy Division

This collection consists of the records of the Girl Guides, Brownies, and Sea Rangers Passamaquoddy Division documenting the local association’s administrative and financial activities as well as training materials, ceremonies, camping excursions, activities and events, organizational history, music, and publications produced or participated in by the Guides, Brownies, and Sea Rangers of Charlotte County.

Annual reports, minutes, and newsletters produced by the Provincial office are included in this collection as they contain detailed information on the Passamaquoddy Division.

This fonds consists of the personal papers of the Spinney family, as well deeds and court documents, and flyers, programs, newspapers, scrapbooks, and other gathered by the family (primarily Llewellyn Spinney) relating to local and world events connected to St George and Charlotte County as a whole. The documents particularly relate to the First and Second World Wars, the Eastern Pulp Wood Co., Ford automobiles, businesses of St George, the Utopia Centre, Black's Harbour high school, James Mollison and the American Flyers, church events, the Royal Family, and rum running.

Freeman Hale Todd family fonds

This collection contains documents pertaining to Freeman Hale Todd's business ventures, including his logging and lumber business along the St Croix River Region, as well as his merchant and grocery businesses. These include account books, promissory notes, receipts and documents related to shipping as well as deeds, indentures, mortgages, assignments of land and insurance policies. There are also wills, family papers and matters relating to Probate that pertain to Freeman Hale Todd's estate after his death on 9 September 1885. Documents involving a co-partnership between Ninian Lindsay Todd and F. H. Todd & Sons are also included. Freeman Hale Todd's election address from when he was elected in 1865 as a candidate opposing the Confederation of New Brunswick with Canada also fall under the scope of this collection. There are also some documents related to his eldest son Frank Todd which include promissory notes, receipts, correspondences, and mortgages related to his business ventures and investments in Maine and New Brunswick.

Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline Collection

This collection contains documents related to a pipeline project by the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline, which would bring natural gas from Sable Island to the Saint John region, as well as the Charlotte County region through a lateral addition that would extend south of Lake Utopia. Contains newspaper articles on the project, as well as articles by Mike Whalen representing the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline and answering questions. Also included are announcements of open houses and informational documents, pamphlets, and booklets. These informational documents discuss both the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline Project itself, as well as pipelines and natural gas in general.
