Sunday School annual picnic, hosted by Mrs. Frank Wheeler (1873-1964), teacher of the younger Sunday School children. Minnie taught at the Sunday School after she and her husband, Frank Wheeler moved to Douglas from Marysville about 1900. The records consist of 22 photographs of the picnic that Minnie Wheeler hosted from 1944 to 1946.
Note that as the photos are not dated the years are surmissed from the ages of the children. The children photographed include: Ted Carlisle, Gordon “Mac” Carlisle, Helen & Doug Crockett, Billie & Dianne Currie, Roy Currie, Annie Curtis, Kathleen Dunphy, Betty Elliot, Betty & Wendell Grasse,
Marguerite & Robert Grasse, Neil Hallett, Marilyn Hallett, Ed Merrithew, Elizabeth Waugh, Ronald Waugh and Garth Williams.
In addition to the Sunday School students a few younger children attended the picnic and included: Rosemary Crawford, Brian Hallett, Richard Hallett and Preston Hawkins.
Also Minnie had the help of neighbours with the picnic including Ayesha Hawkins and Lena Currie.
