These 5 army (field service) correspondence books relate to Capt. C. F. Inches's tour of duty in France, in 1916, with the 1st Canadian Heavy Battery. He records information about his routine administration duties, while also providing information about ammunition, equipment, weapons, horses, the awarding of honours and medals, charges of insolence and desertion, military court martials, attack plans, activities at the Front, and feats of gallantry. A number of names of officers and enlisted men are included. The correspondence book dating from June to July 1916 (MS1A) contains a few letters written or signed by Lt.-Col. C. G. Pritchard, R.G.A.

Included are a program for a coronation ball at the Algonquin Hotel in St. Andrews, a promotional coronation Union Jack from Red River Cereal which shows how the Union Jack was formed, a program for a coronation service in St. Stephen, and a souvenir program for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II which contains royal portraits, information on the history of coronation events, the story of Elizabeth II, a map of her procession during the coronation, a genealogy of the Royal Family, and details on the coronation ceremony.

Large oversized black hardcover scrapbook with King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on back of cover and first page, followed by clippings of the Royal Family, song requests, and obituaries. This collection contains correspondences, documents, photos, and other types of material related to Joseph and Effie Gibson and their descendants. Most of the correspondence in this collection concerns Joe Gibson, a Royal Canadian Air Force pilot and oldest son of Joseph and Effie Gibson. Many photos of him and his crewmates, his letters home from overseas, as well as his schoolwork and notes from leaning how to fly an aircraft are also included in this collection. Several items which concern the affairs of John Gibson, Joe Gibson’s younger brother, can be found in this collection. These include correspondences and legal documents related to the estate of Charlotte Gibson, his sister, as well as an agreement between John Gibson and the Canada Railroad Company concerning interest and his land. Most of the personal items and published material in this collection belonged to John Gibson as well, these include publications related to his position as a volunteer firefighter, reports of organizations he belonged to, maps of the Town of St. Andrews, notes related to his work as a stonemason, and other items.
