This collection consists of reports created by researchers at the Research Station. The early reports are photocopies, because the originals were out of print at the time of the deposit. More recent reports are originals.
This fonds consists of journals listing customers names, purchases, and cost of items. Some purchases were made on credit. One journal is dated February 1901 to July 1910 and the other, 25 July 1910 to 8 August 1911.
This fonds consists of many handwritten letters from the 1930's discussing events in the 1800's and early 1900's. Much of this research was used to create the Grand Manan Historians that Buchanan Charles wrote and edited - preserving much of Grand Manan Island's early history. He collected an extensive library from which 53 books and close to 300 brochures, pamphlets, and reports were donated with this collection of 170 cm of textual records. The published records are housed in the research library at the Grand Manan Museum.
This fonds consists of one account book used to record expenses incurred in maintaining a weir from 1895 to 1906 and what was paid to the labourers. Although it lists the officers in 1897 it does not list the share holders.
This fonds consists of the firm's precedents and briefs with emphasis on the decade following 1920. Much of the collection reflects the work of Charles S. Sanford, M. Gerald Teed, and John P. Palmer. The fonds has a broad geographical span. The cases are civil, not criminal, with a focus on corporate and trust company law.
The fonds needs more detailed arrangement and description.
