There is also a copy of the evidence taken at a coroner's inquest into the 1834 suspicious death of Miramichi resident John Merithew.

Read in the “Carriage House” of the Marshlands Inn, which includes various materials pertaining to the Read Stone Company and grindstone production, including primarily photographs, as well as graphic drawings, newspaper clippings, and other textual records.

Second accession, contains materials pertaining to the Read Stone Company, grindstone production, and the Read family. Content includes primarily photographs, as well as postcards, articles, and a guest book from the Marshlands Inn which was formerly the Read home, and that contained a museum devoted to displaying the history of the grindstone industry in Sackville.

Reminiscences of My Life in Centerton, Kings County, NB by Helen (Cathline) (Wright) Grant documents her memories of childhood life in rural Centerton. Born in 1914 (at home) she describes how life was on a small farm, her siblings and how the farm operated. She elaborates on her love of animals and provides information on the neighbours, attending school, the mail system and how money was raised through the sale of wood, butter, eggs, poultry and picking berries. Troubles and tragedies in Centerton are remembered and it is noted that Cathline still lives in Centerton today (2001) although not at the “Old Home”. Some primitive drawings are included, as well as a photocopy of the “Old Home”.
