Fonds relates to the Morice Brother’s business activities in Middle Sackville, New Brunswick and Marcie (Morice) Fullerton’s education and interests in Middle Sackville, New Brunswick. Fonds consists of letters to and from the Morice Brothers, including one referencing the sale of the Christopher Boultenhouse property after his death; Marcie Fullerton’s tests, report cards, graduation certificates, certificate of honor, Valedictory address from the Middle Sackville Superior School, and a newspaper clipping of Marcie Fullerton receiving the charter for the Business and Professional Woman’s Club; photos of Middle Sackville’s Morice Mill Pond, the Red Cross Society, and an unknown Military unit; and the menus of Sackville restaurants Marcie visited and enjoyed.

Also included are correspondences and documents related to the group’s plan to establish a center for the performing arts in St. Andrews.

Also includes some documents from the Sea Rangers of the S.R.S. Dr. Alfred Goldsworthy Bailey

This fonds consists in large part of the official records of the various offices Dr. Bailey held during his career at the University of New Brunswick from 1938-1970. There is a large amount of material relating to his extensive literary contributions, including articles; manuscripts, published and unpublished books; and records from his editorial role in "The Literary History of Canada". There are also some personal papers and a small number of family papers.
The fonds is divided into 15 series:

  • Series 1 - University Committees, including the Creative Arts Committee and the Arts Faculty Committee, 1956-1958;
  • Series 2 - Arts Faculty, 1932-1966, including records of the Arts Faculty's activities;
  • Series 3 - Literary Works, 1806 - 1990; predominant 1923-1979, including published and unpublished writings, notes and records about and by his family. The series also includes photographs and correspondence with literary colleagues including Malcolm Ross, Roy Daniells, Elizabeth Brewster, Michael Gnarowski, Carl F. Klink and Jack McClelland. There is also some correspondence between Bailey and Lord Beaverbrook and between Loring Ewart Bailey and W. Ganong and George Parkin;
  • Series 4 - Miscellaneous 1946-1979; predominant 1968-1979; including bibliographies, records of Founders' Day (UNB), the Loyalists, and the Canadian Writers' Federation;
  • Series 5 - Graduate Students, 1943-1959, consisting largely of correspondence with graduate students in the History Department;
  • Series 6 - Library ,-1959 ; predominant 1948-1958, including correspondence and other records about the operations of the Library.

Henry Harvey Stuart

This fonds documents the personal, professional, and reform activities of Henry Harvey Stuart. In particular, it highlights his involvement and interest in socialism, unionism, politics, education, religion, temperance, and labour.

The fonds contains correspondence, 1869, 1895-1955; letterbooks, speeches, copies of published articles, education records, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, genealogical materials, and scattered issues of newspapers and periodicals (many on socialist, labour and Christian themes).

There is also a description of Benton and Benton graded school with a list of pupils with their age and birth date. Also includes minutes of Newcastle Methodist Men's Union, Newcastle Town Improvement League, and Fredericton Junction Discussion group as well as two addresses by Stuart "World Federation or More World Wars?", 1943, and "The Church and Post-War Reconstruction", 1943; several speeches including those to Northumberland County People's Union and to Fredericton workmen; and a record of "the doings" of the Branch Bible Society of Waterborough.

This fonds consists of 2 autobiographical manuscripts written by Ernest L. Flewelling: "Summary of the Life and Times of Ernest L. Flewelling, B.A., B.Ed.," (2 copies) -- copy 1 ( 21 pp.) and copy 2 ( 24 pp.). The genealogical material in these manuscripts differ as well as the introductions and; "E. & L. Flewelling Scholarships for Vocational Research," (11 pp.) It includes a discussion of E. L. Flewelling's educational philosophy.

Included are interviews with Sir Leonard Tilley, who discussed election campaigns with Mr. Allison.
