Fonds consists of Edward Raban Vince's 1920-1951 daily journals, a cheque book, military catalogues and manuals concerning military policies, regulations and personnel. There are also two photograph albums dated, 1905-1923. Photographs show Carleton County residents, military officers, family and Carleton County social events, and landscape snapshots.

The fonds consists of 4 photographs of Thomas' military commissions as captain of militia in Saint John (1783) and Queens County (1787), and as major and lieutenant colonel of militia in Queens County (1795). There is also a biographical note, dated 19 May 1906, including date of death, age at death, birth place, positions held, and notes about Henry Thomas.

This fonds consists primarily of Baxter's records of the Royal Commission to inquire into statements made by "The Standard" concerning the Provincial Hospital at Fairville, New Brunswick. It includes issues of the paper, drafts of the report and testimony, extracts from the press and correspondence. There is also a number of documents collected by Baxter including letters from famous people and original miltiary records of Saint John, 1808-1926.

This collection consists of two letters from Col. P.L. Browne, Director of the Division of Voluntary War Relief in the Department of National Health and Welfare. One of the letters encloses a letter from Sir Ellsworth Flavelle outlining the purposes of the United Emergency Fund and appealing for assistance from various organizations across Canada.

Contains the Minutes of the Doaktown Red Cross from its establishment on October 8, 1939 until February 17, 1947 and monthly "Reports of Women's War Activities", December 1943 - June 1946 (7 reports). Included are regular summaries of the number and type of item being made or collected and sent to Saint John. Overall, indicative of a very strong war effort by a dedicated group in a small community.

The fonds documents the professional legal career of G. Earle Logan from 1923-1948. It consists of case files that include correspondence and legal documents pertaining to divorce, bankruptcy, the settling of estates, the collection of debts, adoptions, property transactions, and civil suits.

This fonds consists of two minute books of the Milltown Soldiers' Comfort Association, dating from the First World War, 1917-1918 and from the Second World War, 1940-1944.

This letter was written to W. Cabot, of Dalhousie, New Brunswick, by Group Captain, W. V. McCarthy, Chief Chaplain, R.C., R.C.A.F. Overseas at Overseas Headquarters, 20 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, on 1 November 1943. McCarthy offers Cabot his condolences on the death of his son, Joseph, and provides details of Joseph's funeral and burial in Dumfries. He assures the bereaved father that Joseph was buried with "the full rites of Holy Mother the Church" alongside his comrades.

This fonds consists of a manuscript book by Walter White about his militia memories from 1884 to 1942. It makes reference to the contingent sent to the Boer War from Saint John and describes White's experiences during the Halifax Explosion.

Fonds includes a history of the Carleton Light Infantry, records of the 1934 annual meeting of the Carleton Light Infantry, financial information, company correspondence, and nominal rolls. There are personnel files listing name, rank, company, address, registration date, and remarks concerning any leaves of absence, applications for higher rank, meetings attended, etc.; there are also medical officers' certificates, and property information. The information about the Carleton-York Regiment is limited to records of a 1937 meeting of the Regiment, a financial statement, and shared personnel files.
