This fonds consists of the minute books of the Executive and General council, 1970-1972, 1980, and correspondence with municipal and provincial agencies, the press and interested service groups.

This fonds consists of the minute books, 1853-1860, 1867-1873, and the account books, 1851-1861, of the Dalhousie Division No. 64, Sons of Temperance.

The fonds consists of an extraction book and a letter. The extract book, dated 1793, belonged to Maria Ann Smart of Saint John. There is a note on the inside cover stating the book was a present from Miss Street. An index is included. This book contains handwritten copies of verse, prose, and hymns by various people, including friends.

The letter, dated 1804, is addressed to Elizabeth Smart, at Fredericton by her sister Frances Ager, living in Windsor, England. The letter describes her living quarters near Windsor Castle and discusses her husband's employment at the Castle. She writes of seeing Royalty pass by en route to St. George's Chapel. The letter also mentions the couple's two daughters, as well as relatives living in England.

This fonds consists of the business and personal correspondence, financial records and estate papers of Willian Shives. There is also some correspondence of Alexander Shives.

This is the script of the radio play "She Never was a Lady" about the sailing ship "Marco Polo". The "Marco Polo" was constructed in Saint John, New Brunswick, by James Smith. It was purchased by James Barnes of Black Ball Line of Australian packets. On its first run to Australia in 1852, Captain James Forbes boasted that he would have the ship back on the Mersey within 6 months, which was an unheard of feat in those days. Captain Forbes arrived back in Liverpool in 5 months and 21 days. Over the years, the "Marco Polo" routinely kept very fast times. The ship was lost in 1883 and off Cavendish, Prince Edward Island.

This volume contains three hand-written sermons based on the 8th, 9th and 10th Commandments. There is a note that one was preached at the consecration of the St. John Church. The name of the place where the church was located has not been deciphered.

This fonds consists of a small leather-bound notebook containing household expenses, servants and nurses' wages, 1883-1895.
