Friends of Grand Manan Trails Fonds
The Friends of Grand Manan Trails evolved from the Grand Manan Trails Club who published a ‘Guide to the Paths, Trails, Roads and points of interest of Grand Manan Island’ in 1949. This was followed by “Walks and Trails in the vicinity of North Head’ by J. Wilson Craig in 1968, and again in 1972. Other contributors to Trail Guides over the years were Gerrish House Society and Grand Manan Tourism Association. In the early 1990’s Don Baldwin and Maude Hunter organized the present “Friends of Grand Manan Trails.” This organization has carefully mapped out trails over the Island with description, degree of difficulty and duration, which have been published in Trail Guides from 1988-2012. These trails are maintained annually by volunteer adoptees. An annual newsletter (1993-2016) records recent activities concerning the trails. Bob Stone serves as Co-ordinator after the resignation of Don Baldwin ca.2004.
MC10/ Larry Dickinson sous-fonds
Larry Dickinson founded East Coast Bears, an organization that hosted the annual Fur Fest. Larry and his partner, Steve Rogers also documented Fredericton Pride events with photos and video.
Fur Fest began in 1995 and ran until 2006. For many years, the event was held at the Wandlyn Inn, in Fredericton, until it's last years where Fur Fest moved to the Crowne Plaza. The first Fur Fest had about 25 participants, and included a dance at the Kinsmen Center. By 2006 there were more than 175 bears at the event, and FF was advertised in the Fredericton City Tourism Guide.
The group defined bears as: people who were, or liked, masculine, hairy men. There are many definitions of what a bear should look like; as far as this group was concerned, it's not just physical, it was emotional and societal too, a fraternal sense of acceptance and belonging, fitting in, feeling sexy and desirable, comfortable in your own skin, and being able to establish a chosen family. All were welcome who were interested in bears.
The collection includes 299 digital photos of Fredericton Pride events from 2014-2017, 1 video of the Fredericton Pride parade 2015, and a photo album documenting Fur Fest 1996-2005.

Textural material, photographs and negatives, ephemera, and small objects relating to the Hooper family and St. Andrews Seniors Club. The photos are of various people, places, scenery, and events from Charlotte County and of the last century. Most textural material is newspaper and newspaper clippings of various importance such as obituaries to a local report on the Hooper lives to poems dedicated to living and resting members of their family. Ephemera is not necessarily connected intellectually to the Hooper family, but rather can be related due to the material being enclosed with other supporting material. Other textual material can include documentation and biographies of members of the family and their accomplishments and passing.
