This fonds contains the monthly reports of keepers at Long Eddy fog alarm from 1874-1946. It includes records of the weather, the stores and supplies ordered, the repairs made, and the hours the fog alarm was operating.

Machias Seal Island Lightstation
This collection consists of newspaper articles, magazine articles, letters, stories, and histories relating to Machias Seal Island lightstation and bird sanctuary. There are articles concerning the boundary dispute between the Canadian and United States governments over ownership of the Island and a computer printout of the International Court of Justice Case Summaries Judgement of 12 October 1984 concerning ownership.
Machias Seal Island Lightstation
This collection contains diaries and reports of weather, visitors, the times when the light was lit and turned off, and the length of time operating each day. The records were kept by the Grand Harbour lighthouse keepers from 1949-1960. There are also blank forms of Hand Horn or Fog Bell Returns.

Series contains 86 postcards placed in an album in no particular order. The dated postcards range from 1906 to 1913, and were primarily addressed to Mrs. Walter I. Dixon [Jane Gillis], and also to Mr. Walter I. Dixon and Raymond Dixon. Postcards were sent from a number of relatives and friends. A number of the postcards depict locations in Canada as well as the United States. Most of the postcards contain messages.
