Fonds mainly consists of correspondence about the construction of the Lewis Peter Fisher Memorial Library. Correspondence consists of letters to co-executor, Allison B. Connell of the Fisher estate from booksellers, architect, Ernest Fairweather, J. Fred Ryan, and other business associates. Also included is the town council resolution to provide annual funds, the notice of appointment of the library commission, minutes of the first and second meeting in 1914, and Carleton’s 1916 correspondence announcing his resignation.

Dibblee regarding questions and changes to construction and building plans; and blueprints of the Lewis Peter Fisher Memorial School.

This fonds documents Mabel Lewin's service as a nurse during the First World War. The fonds contains correspondence between Lewin and wounded WWI soldiers who were in her care, postcards of locations she served and of places where the soldiers she corresponded with served in Europe, and snapshots taken of nurses and officers whom Lewin met and served with. There are also magazines and newspapers dated 1937-1951.

Fonds consists mainly of documents related to McCain family-owned businesses during the period of 1815-1967. Contained within the fonds are ledgers, account books, notebooks, receipts, and business correspondence with company associates. Family correspondence is shared by the following McCain family members: Andrew, Hazel, Henry and his wife, Mary, Muriel, Hugh Gordon, Billy, Hugh John, and John McCain. Photographs, dated 1880 to1931, show family members. Also included in the fonds are maps which show the locations of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Glassville, NB; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Carleton County, NB.

Fonds consists of financial documents and some correspondence belonging to McKeen's Drug Store. Financial materials include cheque stubs, 1938-1960, statements, and account books, dated 1912-1969. Account books include payroll and accounts payable information. Correspondence, dated 1955-1968, consists of prescription information and prescription inquiries from customers. There are medical forms naming Carleton County physicians ordering prescriptions for patients and including name of patient, medicine, special directions, and in a few cases, the type of ailment.

McLaughlin family

"This fonds consists mainly of documents related to the McLaughlin family's personal activities. Materials related to John McLaughlin and his estate, dating from 1926-1932, include correspondence, invoices and receipts, his 1932 death announcement, and insurance policies. There is also a small group of records of his dry goods company consisting of financial papers and business correspondence. The materials belonging to his wife Annie include receipts, correspondence, and bills, dated 1880-1939.

Charles Guy McLaughlin's documents (1908-1953) include family correspondence, financial papers consisting of tax, insurance policies, and receipts, and also military certificates he received as a lieutenant. Elsie McLaughlin's papers consist entirely of correspondence with physicians and acquaintances, dated 1918-1936. Marguerite McLaughlin's materials contain correspondence with friends and relatives and receipts dating from 1889-1954. Bessie McLaughlin also has receipts and correspondence, dated 1929-1954. Harry McLaughlin has business correspondence, dated 1935-1965. Charles Guy McLaughlin's son, Ronald, has documents including correspondence, military papers, and receipts, dated 1916-1941.

Family photographs date from 1902-1961 and show snapshots taken of family members and Carleton County residents. Photographs also include nature shots taken of Woodstock and the surrounding landscape. Postcards show Woodstock buildings."

"This fonds consists of documents gathered by Judith Smith Morehouse, her family relatives, and their descendants. Richard Smith's documents pertain to his activities as a landowner and include mortgages, deeds, leases, agreements, and bonds. His estate documents include correspondence, account books, timber transactions, and receipts. All documents date between 1800-1836. Judith Smith Morehouse's materials date from 1834-1856, and include indentures, leases, bonds, record books, agreements, and family correspondence. Smith family documents, dated 1787-1835, contain legal materials and account information related to Jacob, Benjamin, John, Oliver, and Sidney Smith.

Frederick Morehouse's documents consist of bonds, indentures, mortgages, and business correspondence dating from 1826-1843. Morehouse family documents consist of legal and financial papers belonging to Charles, Daniel, George, Henry, and John Morehouse, dated 1822-1837.

The related Dibblee family's documents contain legal papers consisting of deeds, leases, business correspondence, and John Dibblee's 1856-1858 diary. Beardsley family documents contain legal, correspondence, and account information, 1834-1850. Maps show Sussex, NB; the Pacific Ocean; Westmoreland; Connell Street, NB; and the plot of land leased to Jeremiah M. Connell by Judith Smith."

The Woodstock Standard Efficiency Club

Fonds consists of account books for the administration of the estates of local businessmen and members of the Vince family. There are deeds, correspondence written between Vince family members, and photographs, dating between 1910 and 1942. Photographs show military men and units in Carleton County, Halifax, and England, and snapshots of family members. Also included in the fonds are scrapbooks containing memorabilia of military personnel and personal documents, and eight maps showing four military maneuvers and the locations of Liverpool, England; Miramichi Bay, NB; and Carleton County, NB.
