Ce fonds est composé des transactions foncières qui couvrent les propriétés ayant appartenu à Calixte Léger et à ses descendants. Nous y trouvons aussi des documents légaux qui comprennent un contrat relatif à l'entretien des prés de Barachois (1855), un contrat de finition de la maison de Calixte Léger (1860), un acte d'arbitrage (vers 1850) et un contrat pour des réparations au pont de la rivière Aboujagane (vers 1860). Il y a aussi des photos des parents et grands-parents d'Ulric Léger, père d'Huberte Léger.

Saunders family

This fonds consists of several handwritten pages. Two leaves were removed from the back of a Bible, the back page recording a brief list of the important dates in Thomas Saunders' life. There are also 20 handwritten leaves removed from a bound volume, containing arithmetic exercises with the answers, probably intended as a textbook for Saunders' students. On the final leaf is a list of family births and deaths, 1834-1907.

N. Kendall, commissioner, on 31 December 1835; sketch of the proposed town of Stanley now being erected and settled by the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Land Company showing its present state, dated 11 October 1834; sketch plan with names of the occupiers of houses in the town of Stanley, those having taken lots and intending to build -- also the inhabitants of the houses dated 11 October 1837.

Fonds consists of 2 series: (1) Copies of letters from William Seaman to family members in Minudie, Nova Scotia written while a student at Mount Allison University, September 1884-May 1889. Many annotated with "Wm" or "Willie" followed by the date of the letter. Some of these dates do not correspond with the dates in the letter.

(2) Copies of letters to Mrs. Gilbert Seaman, Minudie, Nova Scotia, from her daughter, Emma, while she was a student at the Mount Allison Ladies’ College, Sackville, New Brunswick. Consists of three postcards and six letters.

Also included is a University of Mount Allison College statement of expenses, to Gilbert Seaman, Esq., per W. Seaman, for term ending 31 May 1889, and an obituary and tribute to William Seaman, "The Guam Records", v. 6, no.1. April 1929.

This collection contains a very small number of letters, accounts, receipts, and legal documents pertaining primarily to the James Jardine and Simon Graham familes of Kent County. Of particular interest are a copy of Simon Graham's protest sworn before the His Majesty's Vice-Consul in Lima and Callas (1834) regarding the imprisonment and return of sailors; a Russian-Japanese War map; James Gordon's certificate of competency as master in the merchant service (1869), and an accepting offer signed by James Jardine for the conveyance of Her Majesty's Mails between Kingston [now known as Rexton], Jardineville, and Richibucto Village (1899). There are also a few deeds relating to Mazy Plume.
