Item is the family bible which was published in 1841 belonging to the Boultenhouse family. On the first page is written “John E. Boultenhouse” … “From his Mother, who died Jan 5 1868”. In the middle of the volume are four pages labeled “Family Record” with subheadings, “marriages”, “births”, and “deaths”.

Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts collection : [1702-1889]
This collection consists of a detailed calendar of correspondence between clergy in New Brunswick and the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts in London, 1821-1848. Most of the letters are written from New Brunswick, with a few replies from London. There is also a calendar of the letters from Archdeacon George Coster of Fredericton, 1829-1844. Both calendars include an index of the names appearing, biographical notes on the writers of the letters, and abstracts of the letters.
There are also 56 reels of microfilm containing other records related to New Brunswick, acquired from the Society, including an index, journals (1747-1860), and calendars (1702-1885)
Lastly, there are 7 reports of the Incorporated Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts for the years 1845, 1847, 1848, 1861, 1877, 1878, and 1885. There are a few introductory pages missing from the 1885 report. These reports are in textual format.

This fonds consists of the Rev. Samuel Elder's diary for the years 1848-1849, which he spent in Fredericton. He comments on church work, his religious philosophy, members of his family, Fredericton residents, and local events.

This fonds documents the personal, religious and professional lives of Ezekiel McLeod, Joseph McLeod and to a minor extent, Joseph McLeod's sons, from 1849-1944. Contained in the fonds are Religious Intelligencer business records including ledgers, accounts and financial documentation. Also included are sermons, speeches and meditations, correspondence, documentation pertaining to the Royal Commission on The Liquor Traffic, 1892, Maritime Prohibition Minute book, 1900 - 1901, and material relating to temperance and prohibition. Formats are mostly original and include handwritten business records and notes, a booklet, newspapers, publications and typescripts.

This collection contains photocopies of correspondence with Bishop James Rogers, dating from 1852-1892, relating to personal and diocesan matters, political events, educational issues, Confederation, elections, the school question, nationalism, and government legislation.
The collection also includes a typed biography of Rogers and photocopies of legislation, a circular letter, telegrams, and letters from Bishop Connolly, Bishop Sweeney, Anglin, and others primarily concerning opposition to the New Brunswick non-sectarian school law.
