Item is a letter addressed to Pauline Alward regarding her completion of a correspondence course she took, as well as a statement written by Alward during this time which displayed her determination to complete the course.
Item is a leather bound autograph album given to Mathilda Wry as a gift on her twentieth birthday. Amongst the autographs are two adjoining pages from roommates in the Mount Allison Ladies’ College (1887), a poem from her sister Mary E. Wry, and several entries from Great Village where Tillie visited and where her fiancée George was later the post master. Some of the entries are probably from sewing clients. There are also additional autographs from 1938 and 1941 written to Tillie’s niece, Mabel Alward.
Items are the correspondence course books which Pauline Alward used for her grade ten year. The subjects included are Algebra, Chemistry, English, French, Geometry, History, and Physics. Also includes a schedule that Alward made for her studies.
Item is a certificate from The New Brunswick Correspondence School, Dept. of Education, certifying Pauline Alward’s successful completion of grade ten in the subjects of English, Algebra, Geometry, Physics, French, and History. This was the first year this correspondence course was offered.
Item is Pauline Alward’s High School Diploma from Sackville High School. Following her correspondence course, she was admitted to Sackville High in Grade 11. The diploma was signed by the Principal, Mr. B. F. Mundle, and dated June 29, 1942.
