The records (FRM acc 82.6) consist of a photograph of being awarded the DSO by General Montgomery (MS 44/218 & P132/156) and three newspaper clippings: “Mayor C.H. Forbes to be commissioned”, 6 July 1940; “Corps of Signals of importance”, R.B. Forbes as the Fredericton officers mentioned in the D Day landings, 7 June 1944; and an undated clipping where Major Forbes is awarded the DSO.
The records consists of two diaries while he was with the 7th Hussara, along with a history of the regiment. Also there are two accounting books when he became the Earl of Ashburnham and photos, clippings and personal affects while the Ashburnhams were in Fredericton.
The fonds consists of the personal papers of Stephen Glasier. This series contains only four items but they all refer to the development of the lumber trade on the River.
