This fonds consists of 9 account books, including day books and ledgers. There are stockbooks, 1883-1890, and 1886-1900, which contain a list of city customers; time books, 1866-1891, 1894, 1916; and a sample book with 85 numbered photographs and negatives of products.
This ledger contains columns listing bills and credits to businesses that were supplying stock to a a grocery store from 1947 - 1955. In 1948, on page 192, there are entries for the purchase of dulse, an edible seaweed, from local workers called pickers who picked the dulse off the beach rocks at low tides and then dried it and sold it. Pages 207-408 are unused. The last page before the back cover has a few memorable quotations recorded.
This fonds consists of letters, legal papers, receipts, and printed material relating to the Thompson and Winslow families, miscellaneous clippings, invitations, cards and two Bibles. A number of photographs, which have be moved to P1/0092-0110 and P2/0280-0291, are also included
This fonds consists mainly of the correspondence between John and his brother George while John was in Dumfries, 1826-1832, with George's accounts, 1821-1829. They record both sides of a business importing goods from Scotland and shipping timber to Scotland. There are also family records of the Thomson family, 1788-1908, Scoullar family, 1796-1856, and the Walker family, 1799-1835
Three typed pages of humor. The first page is titled "What to do in case of an Air Raid", the second is a letter from a wife of a soldier to a army base in Ottawa. The third poem is making fun of woman.
